Opening a document from ProjectForce

Use the Open command to open an existing document from an ProjectForce library. The document will be checked out to you. When you are finished making changes, you can check it back into the library. This command will also allow you to open a copy of the document (without checking it out) in order to edit it to become a different document.

To open a document from within any Office application integrated with ProjectForce:

1. Click Open on the ProjectForce menu or click the Open button . The Open File dialog box appears, similar to the following figure.

2. Navigate to the document you want to open and select it.
3. If you only want to open a copy of the document and not check it out, enable Open as copy.
4. Click Open. If the document was not already checked out to you, it will be checked out before it is opened in the Office application.
